These boulder opals show incredible colours and are cut with a layer of their natural ironstone boulder backing left intact on the backside. Opal is one of the birthstones for October, and is often associated with love and hope. You will select one of the exact stones in this listing and have it created in your choice of pendant or a ring, with your loved one's ashes (or other materials by special request) fully protected beneath. You can have this design created in solid silver (fine + sterling), or mixed metal / solid gold by special request.

Opals are considered 'soft' stones and need to be treated with care to maintain their integrity, however, unlike Ethiopian opals which should be kept dry, Australian boulder opals are water safe.

Please be aware that these opals are fully opaque and your ashes will not be seen through them. Please see photos to see how the cremation gem is set beneath the opal.
