Storytellers: What They Are
Storytellers are North Faun's signature line of jewellery. In these, you select your gemstone and have it created as you like: a ring, a pendant, earrings (when suitable pairs are availale), or a bracelet. You choose the sizing and metals if you like. Storytellers are available to be created as both "regular" jewellery for daily adornment, or as memorial jewellery with your loved one or pet's cremation ashes set beneath your selected gemstone. Storytellers were released on the website in the spring of 2020 and were named after my dad: the original storyteller in my life. These pieces of jewellery are intended to tell your story. Storytellers: The Perfect Memorial
Are Memorial Storytellers created only with cremation ashes? Memorial Storytellers are most often created with ashes of your loved one or pet, but dried flowers, a lock of hair/fur, dried soil, fabric, or other suitable material can be used. With cremation ashes, the ashes are combined with fine glass, powdered diamonds, and a few extra bits of magic & then compressed in a high heat process to create a solid "stone", while other materials will be left in their "dry" state.
If I see a stone listed as being for a memorial Storyteller, can I have it created as a regular piece of jewellery instead? Absolutely -- All Storyteller jewellery can be created as either regular jewellery or a memorial piece. If you are interested in having a non-memorial piece created with a gemstone listed as being for a memorial piece, simply send an email to receive a code that will remove the cost of memorial gem creation from the price. Alternatively, if you find a gemstone that is listed for regular jewellery, you can email for a link to "upgrade" the listing to a memorial piece.
With a memorial Storyteller, can I add more than one item beneath the stone? The answer to this varies, depending on the items you'd like to combine. Please send an email with the details to discuss if you're interested in having more than one material set within your Storyteller. Please note that other materials cannot be added to solid cremation stones, as these are created using a high heat process.
